Before launching her notary business, Winnie had already been a notary public since 2002. She also had 16 years of experience in the real estate & title industry. As a listing agent, she specialized in residential sales and marketing and helped her buyer clients find the best homes for their budgets. This experience honed her attention to the legal aspects of practicing real estate in Louisiana. In 2012, she received her real estate broker’s license and spent three years working as a consulting broker with a large real estate franchise, teaching contracts, and compliance. In 2015, she received certification as a real estate instructor through the Louisiana Real Estate Commission, where she taught for two years, helping adults prepare for the statewide real estate exam. In 2018, Winnie pivoted her business back into the notary space doing real estate closings for a national title company; then, in 2020, she started Nouvelle Idee Notary LLC., as an approved education vendor for the Louisiana Secretary of State and teaches a prep course to individuals preparing to take the statewide notary examination. Nouvelle Idee is French for New Idea! She operates her notary services under the Tradename, My Notary Lady.

As a lifelong learner, her hunger for knowledge and zeal for self-development leads her to seek excellence in all that she does. She is a Certified Loan Signing Agent through the National Notary Association. She works diligently to build competence in her work and helps other notaries in the field through her knowledge of the Louisiana Civil Law system.
